SIGNAL FLAGS

Exploring the Rock n Roll Crux

Signal Flags was started as a woodshed project of Lead Guitar/Vocalist John Giaccone in Seattle in 2012. It’s a collaboration of likeminded musicians from various cities and walks of life. rooted in classic rock, they implement their idea's originally and thoughtfully. After fronting other bands, John moved to North Carolina to collaborate with friend and multi-instrumentalist Mitchell Brasch.

Their first record, 'Conversations With Signal Flags' employed local musicians Dan Wedge and Chris Burbach to fill out the band. The DEBUT album is a mashup of rock ‘n roll SOUNDS from the 60s - 90's (hard rock, garage, southern rock, psych rock and a sprinkle of punk) put in a blender and served back fresh.

Reuniting in Seattle the next year, the partnership between Giaccone and Brasch continued AND Their sOPHOMORE release - 'Steak And Shake' extends the metaphors of the previous record, exploring the crux of rock and roll. the ALBUM IS A NOD TO the idealism of the 60s AND the ESCAPISM of the 70s with a punk rock attitude. John Giaccone - Guitar/Vocals,  Mitchell Brasch - Guitar Vocals,  David Tingley - Bass,  Doug Patterson - Keyboards, Ben Kent - Drums.

the band’s been heard on KEXP, KFOG, whfr, WHPC and other stations around the country.

Their THIRD ALBUM, “BANNER DAY” was recorded in 2022 at SOUNDHOUSE STUDIOs in seattle WITH LEGENDARY PRODUCER/ENGINEER, JACK ENDINO AT THE HELMS. check it out on spotify and most streaming services!
